I offer high quality one-on-one tutoring and small group sessions.
While studying the way children learn for over 14 years, I focus on finding student errors and devising strategies to improve understanding mathematics. I am a professional in both mathematics and also in understanding how children learn. My students have always succeeded and I am confident that my students will continue to reach mastery of mathematics.

There are two categories of learning math: instrumental math and relational math. Instrumental math is the procedures and facts while relational math is how the concepts fit into the real world. Both are needed in understanding and using math in life. Working individually
with me will build a child’s confidence in his ability to do math and problem solve.

I deliver my lessons in a fun way that motivates children to succeed.

In high school, I always struggled with math and decided to go to Nevine for some one- on-one tutoring. Nevine is wonderful at connecting with people and really showed me the fast and easy ways to solve difficult math problems. The end result for me was increased confidence in my math skills, improved grades in class, and better understanding of math concepts .

My wife and I have known Nevine Spicer as a friend and neighbor for well over ten years and she is thoughtful, kind and caring.  She has a wonderful way with people young and old alike.  She tutored our youngest daughter to help her improve her SAT score and did a great job.  I feel lucky to know Nevine and I highly recommend her.
